Expression of Interest – Hay River Community Justice Program
The Department of Justice is seeking Expression of Interests (EOI) from community organizations in Hay River interested in administering a local Community Justice Program. This includes hiring and supervision of a Community Justice Coordinator and supporting the ongoing operation of a Community Justice Committee. Successful community partners will work collaboratively with local stakeholders, including the RCMP, the Crown, Courts, Indigenous governments, social programs, and community members.
Organizations are asked to provide applications demonstrating their interest, capacity, and readiness to deliver culturally meaningful justice initiatives along the entire justice continuum—from crime prevention to diversion processes.
Interested organizations must demonstrate their capacity and readiness to work with the GNWT Department of Justice, local and Indigenous governments, and non-governmental organizations, including the RCMP and Victim and Social Services to carry out all aspects of the Community Justice Program.
This Expression of Interest is open to NWT Indigenous Governments and Indigenous Organizations, Community Governments, and non-government organizations.
