Seeking Expression of Interest – Board Members for the NWT Legal Aid Commission

The Legal Aid Commission provides legal services to all eligible persons in the NWT, administers the court worker program, and hears appeals from those denied legal aid.

The Legal Aid Commission is seeking expressions of interest for one representative from the North Slave region to serve for a three year term. Applicants must be NWT residents and are selected based on:

  • Gender balance and geographic representation;
  • Work and volunteer experience;
  • Education and/or training in the fields of justice;
  • Experience sitting on or working with a tribunal; and
  • Experience with social justice seeking organizations

Expressions of interest should include details of the applicant’s relevant education or experience that are consistent with the functions of the Commission.
