Overview

This program provides funding to community organizations to deliver community based Men’s Healing programs throughout the NWT.

The principles of the Men’s Healing Fund include self-determination, autonomy, collaboration, innovation, progress, dignity, strength, flexibility, respect, hope and belonging.

Funding Available

The Men’s Healing Fund has an annual budget of $290,000.

Deadline

Expressions of Interest will be accepted and selected throughout the fiscal year until the allotted budget has been disbursed.

Eligibility

The following applicants may apply:

  • Non-government organizations based in the Northwest Territories.

  • Indigenous Governments and Organizations based in the Northwest Territories (First Nations Bands or Tribal Councils, First Nations organizations incorporated as a not-for-profit society or registered charitable organization, First Nation organizations such as Friendship Centres.).

How to apply

  1. Complete an expression of interest, which includes the following: a. Men’s Healing Fund application form. b. Letter of good standing for each involved organization c. Two letters of reference for each program facilitator d. Letter of support from community leadership

  2. Send the expression of interest to communityjustice@gov.nt.ca or mail to Community Justice and Policing, Department of Justice, Government of the Northwest Territories, PO Box 1320, Yellowknife, NT X1A 2L9

  3. Your applications will be reviewed by the Men’s Healing Fund committee. Successful applicants will be contacted by the Department of Justice based on the information provided in the proposal/application.
